World Polio Day 2022

October 24th is a day set aside to highlight the global efforts towards a polio-free world and honour the commitments of those on the frontlines in the fight to eradicate polio.

Our very own Rotarian Ruth Munyi(Speaker Secretary) had an exclusive interview with the Rotary International President Jennifer Jones – the first female Rotary International President, where among the key points discussed was Polio.

As the organization that first envisioned a polio-free world more than three decades, Rotary International and its partners have been at the center of the fight to eradicate polio globally.

Because of these effort, about 20 million people globally who would otherwise have been paralyzed are walking, and more than 1.5 million people alive today would otherwise have died.
