A Celebration of Hope: Sharing Joy with KPSEA Candidates at Kariobangi North Primary

Each year, as exam season rolls around, the Rotary Club of Nairobi Thika Road comes together to bring a little extra comfort and a lot of love to the young candidates of Kariobangi North Primary School. Through our annual Skip a Meal, Create Hope, Ignite Change campaign, we aim to ease the pressure of national exams by nourishing both the minds and spirits of the students.

This year was no different. As the 154 KPSEA candidates sat for their important assessments, they were supported by the warm hearts and generous hands of our club members. Throughout the exam period, the candidates were treated to balanced, nutritious meals—fuel for both focus and confidence. It was more than just food; it was a gesture of encouragement, a reminder that they are seen, valued, and cheered on by their community.

On the final day of exams, joy filled the air as we gathered once more for our traditional celebration. Laughter echoed across the school compound as students, teachers, and Rotarians danced together, releasing the stress of exams and embracing the joy of completion. It was a beautiful moment of unity, relief, and pure happiness.

We are deeply grateful to every Rotarian and friend who supported this initiative. Your contributions helped create an environment where these young learners could focus on their exams without the worry of hunger—a gift that leaves a lasting impact.

To the 154 candidates: we are proud of you. May your hard work shine through in your results, and may you carry the joy and encouragement from this season into the next chapter of your education.

Together, we truly are creating hope and igniting change—one meal, one smile, and one student at a time.
