23th May 2025 marked a momentous occasion in Murangβa as the Rotary community officially launched a fully equipped computer laboratory at St. Vincent Maragi Primary School, made possible through ππ₯π’π¦π’π€π Global Grant GG2120048.
Presided over by District Governor Dr Joe Kamau, the event was a vibrant celebration of hope, collaboration, and the power of education. Rotarians, teachers, students, and community members came together to witness a dream fulfilled β and the beginning of a brighter future for learners in the region.
As dignitaries addressed the crowd, the excitement was palpable. Students beamed with joy as they stepped into the lab for the first time, exploring new worlds through the computers now at their fingertips. Teachers expressed their gratitude, recognizing how this facility will enhance digital literacy and open up new possibilities in learning and teaching.
βThis lab isnβt just about technology β itβs about unlocking potential,β said DG Dr Joe Kamau. βItβs about giving these children the tools to dream bigger and aim higher.β
The projectβs success reflects months of planning, international collaboration, and the spirit of service above self. It showcases the impact of Rotary when passionate people come together with a shared purpose.
Rotarians will continue to walk alongside the school through training, mentorship, and monitoring to ensure sustainability and maximum impact.
